Abstract
876,185. Endless conveyers. BRITISH WEDGE WIRE CO. Ltd. Nov. 4, 1959 [Sept. 20, 1958], No. 30142/58. Class 78 (1). An endless conveyer comprises a series of transverse rods 10 each formed at its ends with closed loops 11 formed by bending the rod and welding at 13, the loops being adapted to engage over the teeth of driving sprockets. Coils 12 interconnect the loops on adjacent rods. A series of wire helixes 14, 15 may interconnect the rods 10 to provide a continuous load-carrying surface. The loops at one end of the rods may be larger than those at the other end (Fig. 2, not shown), so that a band for travelling in a curved path is produced.
