Abstract

958,807. Endless conveyers. BRITISH WEDGE WIRE CO. Ltd. July 18, 1962 [July 21, 1961], No. 26441/61. Heading B8A. A conveyer belt 10 is formed of zig-zag bent members (Fig. 4, not shown), or links spaced by ferrules (Fig. 7, not shown) in both cases slotted and carried by longitudinally-spaced transversely-extending rods, so that the belt may negotiate curves in the plane of the belt. The belt is disposed in a vertically-disposed series (Fig. 1) of oval-shaped (Fig. 2) load-carrying runs, there being a relatively short return run 20 (shown dotted in Fig. 1) between a load discharge point 12 and a load feeding zone 11. The belt 10 bears on wear beadings 30 (Fig. 3) of molybdenum disulphide or impregnated nylon. Specification 958,808 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 783,056.
