Abstract

853,074. Endless conveyers. LANE & SONS Ltd., G. June 8, 1959 [June 14, 1958], No. 19105/58. Class 78 (1). A wire conveyer belt is composed of a series of transverse rods 3 connected between a pair of endless roller chains, and a series of belt sections each comprising a multiplicity of longitudinally extending wires 4b having circular ends 4a looped around adjacent rods 3 such that the ends 4a belonging to adjacent sections are arranged alternately along each rod 3, and transverse wires 5 extending across the wires 4b and being secured, e.g. by brazing, to the latter at some or all of the intersections therewith. The ends of the wires 5 are arranged to abut the inner link plates 6a of the roller chains to prevent movement of the ends 4a along rods 3.
