Abstract
747,429. Cloches. GUANO FERTILIZER CO., Ltd. Oct. 4, 1954 [Oct. 2, 1953], No. 27074/53. Class 20(1). Parallel end-frames, each consisting of limbs 1, 2 and 4 of channel section arranged with the channels facing inwardly to receive glass sheets extending between the frames, are interconnected by extensible and contractible means comprising bars 7 and 8 pivoted to braces 6. The bars are joined at their ends by bolts 11 and nuts 13, Fig. 4, the bolts passing through slots 12 in the bars 7. By loosening the nuts the bars may be slightly extended to enable the glass sheets to be positioned within the channels. The bars 8 are embraced by saddles 14 joined to the ends of the bars 7. The inner flanges 15 of the channels are wider than the outer ones 16 which are discontinued at the apex 3 of each frame to enable sheets to be slid into position. For transport purposes the sheets are removed and the bars pivoted at their ends so that the frames are brought close together.
