Newspaper bundles are transferred from an endless-chain roller-conveyer 2 to a similar conveyer 3 (or a receiving table), with the assistance of a laterally-spaced pair (one of the pair only is visible in Fig. 2) of vertically extending endless bands 11. Each endless band 11 is carried on a frame 7 which is vertically adjustable at 9, 10.
