Class 20(1) Glasshouses of different sizes can be constructed from the same short frame members a when connected by gusset pieces b, the bolt holes of which can vary the angle between adjacent members. The frame members a, Fig. 5, are formed from sheet metal into T section with the web being doubled to provide a groove to receive the flat gussets b which is stiffened by a bent out flange b<SP>1</SP>. The gussets have two pairs of spaced bolt holes, the line of each pair being at an angle to the line of the other pair so that the members a are bolted together at an angle to complete a semi-polygonal arch. By selecting other gussets with different angled bolt holes a larger or smaller semi-polygonal arch is formed. The sheets h of glass rest on the flange a<SP>2</SP> of the T's, and are stopped from sliding away by the heads of the bolts g, Fig. 3, or by hooks i<SP>1</SP> or i<SP>2</SP> on a plate i pivoted on one of the bolts. These hooks allow alternative positions of glass for ventilation. The gussets may have additional holes b<SP>2</SP> to receive watering pipes. Fig. 6 shows a ridge piece blank k bent at the dotted lines; the ends of the ridge being closed by other blanks 1, Fig. 8, also bent.over. Adjacent semi-polygonal frames are held spaced by ties (c Fig. 1, not shown). When a bow fronted end is required tapered washers are used on these ties.
