Class 20(2) A mine roof support comprises two sets of three hydraulic pit props Al, A2, and A3, and B1, B2 and B3, each set being connected to opposite sides of a hydraulic advancing device 1 by means of a flexible steel strip 4 secured at its ends to shafts 2 on the device 1 and at its middle to flexible steel runners 3 joining the bases of the props. Roof bars Cl, C2 and C3 are joined by a flexible steel strip El.
