1451953 Pivotal arch supports METAL SECTIONS Ltd 30 Jan 1974 [2 Feb 1973] 5308/73 Heading E1E A support for a tunnel or a building framework comprises a series of arches which are made up from pivotal struts, such as 19, 21, 23, 25 or 18, 20, 22, 24 and are interconnected by longitudinal members such as 11, 13, 15, 17 or 10, 12, 14, 16; the longitudinal members providing the pivots for the pivotal connections between the struts and being disposed in an alternate relation with the corresponding members of the other framed arch. All members may be tubular and the struts may be of straight or curved configuration. Longitudinal members 26, 27 may be provided common to the framed arches.
