Class 120(ii) The rings d of a ring spinning machine are driven by means comprising a driving pulley a in relation to which the rings are symmetrically disposed, and an endless band k passing around the pulley and the ring, and a member of symmetrically arranged idler pulleys b disposed between the pulley and the rings. The idlers may be spring influenced against the band. In the modification of Fig. 2, additional idlers c are provided.
