[Also in Group XXIV] A belt system for driving the worker rollers of a nap raising machine of the type wherein the worker rollers are arranged around a cylinder 2 and driven by a belt 6 surrounding tangentially a system of pulleys 3 on the worker roller shafts 1, and extending inwardly of the cylinder between two successive worker driving pulleys to engage a belt driving pulley 4 coaxial with the cylinder, is characterized by having two belt deflecting rollers 8a and 8b between the two successive pulleys 3a and 3b, arranged so that the belt engages the said successive pulleys over the same arc a as it does over the rest of the worker pulleys.
