Abstract

626,874. Endless-belt conveyers. BINGHAM, D. W. Sept. 2, 1946, No. 26394. [Class 78 (i)] In a can-labelling machine in which cans 6 are rolled along a surface 18 by belts 2 having corrugations 3 engaging the seams 4 of the can, the belts are formed with shoulders 11 which engage corresponding shoulders 8 on the inclined belt engaging faces 16 of guide rollers 9. The belts 2 may be formed with longitudinal ribs 7 engaging corresponding grooves 14 in the rollers 9 as shown, or may be formed with longitudinal grooves receiving corresponding ribs on the rollers 9.
