Abstract

1,229,001. Endless conveyers. MASCHINENFABRIK TURNER A.G. 23 Oct., 1968 [22 Nov., 1967], No. 50306/68. Heading B8A. [Also in Division C6] Hides 1 are conveyed between belts 2, 7, to a de-hairing, de-flashing, &c. tool 12, the upper belt 7 being deflected away from the lower belt at 13 so as to accommodate the tool 12. The hides are subject at the cutting zone to vacuum applied via a pipe 21 and perforations 33 in the belt. As shown the belt 7 is returned at 14 to the conveying path, but this belt section may be replaced by a guide roller.
