Abstract
654,188. Cooling cylinders. DEHN, S. G. (Le Roi Co.). June 4,1948, No. 15178. '[Class 7(ii)] In a cooling system in which vapour formed in the cylinder jackets is. condensed by air supplied by a blower 21, the condenser tubes 14 are inclined, and have elliptical transvers cross-sections which are wider vertically than horizontally, to facilitate return of the compensate. The tubes are mounted on a casing 16, in open communication with, and directly attached to, the cylinder jacket 10, and the blower rotor is directly connected to the engine crankshaft 11, and has an inlet screen 24. The tubes 14 are connected by a head 18 having a safety valve and are attached to an air duct 25. They may have external fins or projections.
