649,628. Work-supports. ENGINEERING PRODUCTS, Ltd., and STANDEN, L. F. Dec. 3, 1948, No. 31365. [Class 83 (iii)] Mechanism for raising the work-table of a drilling, tapping, or like machine-tool comprises a lever pivotally connected with the table at 5, without intermediate linkage, and a fulcrum for the lever in the form of a hardened roller 6. The table 2 has a cylindrical stem 3 moving in a bushed portion of the machine framing 1. Adjustable nuts 9 provide a stop for limiting the upward movement of the table and a pin 8 supports the lever 4 during downward movement of the table ; this may be effected by gravity or by a return spring (not shown).
