646,473. Surgical splints. KLEINIG, K. D. Feb. 3, 1948, No. 3081. Convention date, April 4, 1947. [Class 81(ii)] A universally adjustable leg splint comprises main frame cap able of supporting the leg in the fully extended position and a frame pivoted thereto fo supporting the leg with the knee bent. Tubular side members 4 clam] a telescopically ad justable base sup port 5 at thei lower ends and are clamped in tele scopically adjust able extension pieces 6 which carry a ring member 10. The members 6 are independently adjustable to enable the ring to be set at any desired angle and the tubular connecting lugs 9, between them and the ring, are split in such a way that the ring can be removed, when it is substantially perpendicular to the sleeves, and a different ring can then be fitted. Tubular side members 24 are pivoted to clamps 22 longitudinally adjustable on the members 4, and hold a telescopically adjustable base member 26. Adjustable struts 30 hold the frame 24 at the desired angle.
