602,560. Drawing-tables. DESORBAY, L. Oct. 25, 1945, No. 28224. Convention date, Nov. 2, 1944. [Class 52(iii)] A drawing-board 10 is supported, so as to be vertically adjustable, by an articulated linkage comprising two arms 11 and four arms 9, the arms 9 being clamped in the desired position by means of a clamping rod 18 connecting two supporting trestles 1. In the construction shown the inner ends of the--arms 9 are secured to two tubular cross members 7, 8 rotatable on pins projecting from the trestles which are drawn together by the clamping rod 18. The rod 18 passes through metal shoes 15 secured to the trestles and have a separating device 21, consisting of two hubs with opposed ramp surfaces, which is operated by a foot pedal 27 through a link 25 to cause the trestles to move together, and clamp the arms .9. The board may be counterbalanced and pivoted at 12 for angular adjustment.
