Abstract

646,471. Fertilizer distributers. BAMFORD. C. J., and BAMFORD, H. V. Jan. 27, 1948, No. 2381. [Class 6(i)] A fertilizer distributer of the type having a hopper, the bottom of which comprises an upper plate 10 having apertures 15 delivering material to a grid 13 having apertures 17 below which is a lower plate 11 having apertures 16, either the plates 10, 11 or the grid 13 having a reciprocating motion, is characterized in that no aperture in the top plate and adjacent aperture in the bottom plate is in register with the same aperture of the grid at the same time. As shown, the invention is applied to a machine as shown in, Specification 327,965, [Class 6(i)], and two sets of upper and lower plates are provided, each set being joined by a spacer 12 and reciprocated, the grid 13 being stationary. Specification 467,174 also is referred to.
