Abstract
592,128. Manure distributers. NICHOLSON, A. C. May 17, 1945, No. 12395. [Class 6 (i)] [Also in Group XXX] A hopper bottom plate for use in distributers of artificial fertilizers, in which the fertilizer is supplied to pans 17 rotating about vertical axes, is built up of identical approximately T-shaped sections 3 fitted between end sections 1 and 2. The bar of each T-shaped section 3 is bolted to the back board of the hopper and the foot secured by an upturned lug 7 to the front of the hopper. When assembled the curved downwardly flanged sides of the sections 3 form roughly circular apertures 6 in the hopper base with trumpet shaped outlets 9 extending into the distributing pans 17 so that the top of each pan is above the level of the bottom of each outlet 9.
