Abstract

[Also in Division B8] A feed arrangement for pneumatic seed drills and fertilizer distributers comprises axially symmetrical metered feed apertures 16 between a vertical distributer pipe 13, 14 and the base of a container 2, means being provided for preventing flow of air from the air duct 19 to the container through the apertures. The means may be rubber seals 15 abutting metering wheels 6, 7, or a construction of the air duct, Fig. 2 (not shown), upstream of the apertures (3) when slide valves (4) are used. Both distributer pipe 13, 14 and container 2 may be bisected by a partition 8 or the container alone may be partitioned allowing mixing of fertilizer and grain in the distributer pipe.
