Abstract

Granule distributor, partic. for the sowing of single grains, is equipped for the simultaneous distribution of insecticidal or herbicidal microgranules and for placing them, with precision, along the sowing line. The hopper contg. the microgranules feeds them through a distributing doser into a current of air from a fan and pliable tubes; each tube has a venturi and each extends to a cyclone. Each cyclone is supported by the associated sowing component which is prolonged by a tube through which the granules fall freely. The air from the fan escapes through the orifice covered by a plate. The short, vertical free fall of the granules leads to their precise placing on the ground; the pneumatic distributor makes use of the same source of compressed air provided for the sowing machine. As the microgranules do not flow freely the flow surfaces are arranged to be as near vertical as possible.
