Abstract
644,469. Return-tube boilers. KERFOOT, G. Dec. 20, 1948, No. 275. [Class 123(ii)] A dry-back double-return steam boiler comprises furnace flues 4, a first pass of fire tubes 6 which may be located above or below said flues, and a second pass constituted by a single cylindrical flue 5. The latter is disposed within the water space of the boiler and, preferably, houses a combustion-air heater 10 leading to an air box 11. Specifications 220,101, [Class 123(ii)], and 458,944 are referred to.
