Abstract
635,945. Electromagnetic relays. LANDIS & GYR SOC. ANON. Oct. 23,1947, No. 28387. Convention date, Aug. 9. [Class 38 (v)] In order to reduce the energy-expenditure and size of an electro-magnetic relay, the armature-carrying, bell-crank lever 4, pivoted at 3, forms a toggle with an insulating lever 6, which toggle is slightly underset in the closed position of the contact lever 7. The latter is apertured at 8 to receive a pin 9 in lever 6, which has extensions 10 on either side of the lever 7. By this arrangement the force exerted by the magnet up to closure, and to maintain the contact pressure, after closure, are both reduced, Fig. 3 (not shown). Specification 403,147 is referred to.
