635,164. Interconnected valve members; valve seats. DALES, J. D., HOWELL, W. C. A., TAYLOR, O. M., and BEAULNE, A. H. Oct. 17, 1947, No. 27891. [Class 135] A faucet comprises a resilient valve seat 13 co-acting with the face of a screwed spindle 20, and a separate seat 11 for a loose ball-valve 28 which is held against its seat by the water pressure when the spindle is withdrawn to gain access to the seat 13. The seat 13 is held in place by a spring- ring 16 which permits the, seat to rotate with the spindle. In a modification, the seat 13 is of metal and is screwed into position, and a resilient washer is fitted to the spindle face. The seat 11 may form part of the faucet body.
