634,141. Cooling fuel injectors. AKTIEBOLAGET ATLAS DIESEL. Aug. 17, 1939, No. 15834. Convention date, Aug. 27, 1938.. Divided out of 23748/39. [Class 7 (iii)] A bushing 6, formed of a metal such as copper or silver of high heat-conductivity to cool an injector 3, is arranged to contact the injector body adjacent the cylinder 4, spaces 11, 12 being left between the remainder of the bushing and injector body so that the cooling action of the bushing is confined to the cylinder end of the injector. Passages for cooling fluid are formed on the outside of the bushing, which may be surrounded by a sleeve 7. The ends of the bushing 6 and the sleeve 7 exposed to the hot cylinder gases may be plated with a metal such as chromium having a lower heat conductivity than the metal of the bushing 6.
