Abstract
502,385. Oil engines. RICART, W. P. March 18, 1938, No. 8469. Convention date, April 17, 1937. [Class 7 (iii)] A combustion chamber, formed by a cavity 3 in the piston 2, contains a ring 4, made of metal of bad heat conductivity, which contacts with the wall of the cavity where the highest temperature is attained, e.g. at its mouth. The ring may be provided with helicoidal projections 5 and /or with metallic bars or a lattice which acts as a heat accumulator.
