[Class 7 (iii)] To enable the contents of a pre combustion chamber f to enter the cylinder space at a flat angle to the piston face, the axis of the chamber makes with the cylinder axis an angle of more than 60‹ and less than 90‹ but preferably between 80 and 85‹. The chamber has an insertion h which may surround a core-piece i, and the piston may have a flat or recessed face.
