Abstract

633,409. Non-contact-making relays. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and.ESPLEY, D. C. May 15, 1946, No. 14682. [Class 40 (iv)] An amplifier comprises two A.C. generators driven in constant speed relation with their rotors A1, A2 connected in series. The windings are so arranged that the frequencies introduced by the generators themselves are in phase opposition and do not appear in the output. The motors may be driven by a common shaft if they have the same number of poles or by individual synchronous motors. The electrical signals are fed to the stator winding S1 of the first generator and the amplified version is derived from the stator winding S2 of the second generator.
