[Class 14(ii)] [Also in Group II] Yeast cells separated out in a centrifuge 3 when treating beer are removed from the centrifuge bowl by passing liquid backwards through the centrifuge from a valvecontrolled pipe 8 on the outlet 7 to a valve-controlled pipe 6 on the inlet 5, the tanks 1 and 4 being sealed by valves 9 and 10. The flushing is carried out between successive effective separating operations of the centrifuge. Specification 249,457, [Class 23], is referred to.
