Abstract

913,076. Washing granular materials. CRIBLA S.A. Dec. 21, 1959 [Dec. 22, 1958], No. 43417/59. Class 82 (2). In apparatus for the separation of granular materials into three fractions, having a first container 3, fed through inlet 4 with a dense liquid and through shoot 5 with the material to be separated, the heavy fractions from container 3 are carried by the vanes of a rotating drum 8 and discharged into a second chamber 13 in which they are further separated by a second more dense liquid, while the lighter fractions from container 3 are discharged through a passage 7 which extends through an annular drum 15 surrounding chamber 13. Vanes 16 in drum 15 discharge the heavier fraction from the second separator through shoot 18, and the lighter fraction is discharged through shoot 14.
