Abstract
621,536. Electron beam apparatus. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. Jan. 24, 1947, No. 2269. Convention date, Dec. 31, 1943. Drawings to Specification. [Class 39 (i)] One end of a cylindrical electrode in an electron-beam tube fits tightly into the end of a' similar coaxial electrode. The surfaces in contact are coated with a layer of insulating material which is very thin compared with the thickness of the electrode walls. A suitable realisation is to make the electrodes of aluminium and form the insulating layer by anodic oxidation.
