Abstract

617,894. Winding yarn. DEHN, S. G. (U.S. Textile Machine Co.). Feb. 5, 1946, No. 3638. [Class 120(ii)] Instead of the inclination of the track member 36 being varied, with the growth in the size of the wound package, by a rod 38, as set forth in Specification 608,675, the slope of the track member 44, which is spring-urged about its pivot-point, is automatically varied by a rod 46 connected thereto and kept in engagement with a plate 48, pivoted to the moving arm 32 supporting the package, the plate 48 carrying a cam plate 68 surfaces 68a of which move the rod 46 vertically by pressure against a roller 70 attached to a fixed bracket 71. In a modification, Fig. 15, the rod 46 is moved by a sliding cam element 76 operated by a cam-shaped frame 82a connected at its lower end to the pivots of the arms 32 and moved outwardly at its. upper end by a roller situated between the package and its driving drum.
