Abstract
617,606. Electric radiators. SOC. DES APPARIELS G. A. L., (formerly APPAREILS G. A. L.). Nov. 23, 1945, No. 31588. Convention date, July 20, 1944. [Class 39 (iii)] [Also in Group XIII] In heat-exchanger fins of semi - circular shape, which may be used in pairs or singly as shown in Fig. 11, each comprising a plate 15, a collar portion 17 bearing on the tubular element 18 and clamping flanges 19, 20 perpendicular to the plate 15, the clamping flanges and collar are formed in one continuous strip, and the fin assembly is made of thin flexible material so that it can be deformed to apply it closely to the tube by joining flanges of adjacent fin elements, e.g. by welding or soldering. The tubular elements may be of square or flat crosssection and may be constituted by electrical resistances. The fin elements may be joined together to form a hollow multiple fin 22, 23, Fig. 5, or the plate element may be extended to cover several tubes, Fig. 6, and include distance pieces.
