[Class 64 (iii)] In a heat-exchanger having tubes A of small diameter in relation to their length, the tubes are connected in groups to plates 10 at the flared ends of funnel-shaped junction pieces 6 which at their narrow ends are welded or beaded in the tube plates 8, 9 of the exchanger.
