In a heat-exchanger comprising a metal tube a or an assembly of metal tubes arranged parallel with each other and provided with thin sheet metal gill plates b through which the tube or tubes is or are inserted, each tube-receiving hole in the gill plates has formed around it a narrow flange c which is embraced by a rigid metal ring d, the flange being gripped between the tube and the ring by expanding the tube after the parts have been assembled.
