Abstract

806,707. Radiators for heating buildings. CROMPTON, G. March 28, 1957 [April 7, 1956], No. 10663/56. Class 64(2) A radiator is formed by bolting or welding together two metal plates 4a, 4b to sandwich a sinusoidal length of hot water pipe 1, e.g. of copper, semicylindrical channels 5 in the respective plates co-acting to enclose horizontal runs of the pipe. At their ends, the horizontal channels 5 widen to join channels 5a, which when the plates are joined co-act to form passages in portions of which the end bends 3 of the pipe 1 are located. The Provisional Specification describes also a coil of plastic pipe fitted in recesses in a wood or plastic casing.
