616,512. Valve modulating circuits. RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA. Sept. 12, 1946, No. 27490. Convention date, May 10, 1945. [Class 40 (v)] To reduce distortion at full modulation, both the anode of the power amplifier A and the anode and screen grid of the carrier frequency exciter stage E are modulated by in phase modulating potentials derived from windings T2, T3 of transformer J coupled to the modulator stage 30. Windings T2, T3 are so proportioned that at 100 per cent modulation the peak values of the modulating voltages are equal to the D.C. anode voltages and D.C. screen voltage respectively.
