[Class 124] In a motor-driven percussive tool, a cam-shaft 8 is driven through a worm drive 6, 7 by a driving shaft 2 which is disposed substantially in the plane of an enclosing handle 1 and which carries a manuallycontrolled coupling 4, 5. The latter is operated against the action of a spring 30 by a two-armed lever 22 through the intermediary of a sliding rod 23, arms 24, 27 of a fork 25 pivoted at 26, and ball bearings 28 engaging in a groove in the part 4 of the coupling. The end 3 of the shaft 2 is connected by a flexible shaft to the driving motor.
