Abstract
611,352. Rotary pumps. CHRISTENSEN, K. E. April 29, 1946, No. 12857. Convention date, Dec. 13, 1944. [Class 110 (ii)] The pump comprises vanes B1, B2, hinged freely on a shaft C, and conically-ended pins E1, E2, which alternately couple a vane to a stationary end cover A1, and a driving disc D, the parts A1, D containing grooves F1, F2, respectively. The disc D is driven by a handle C1. In Fig. 1 the vane B2 is being driven through the end of the pin E2 engaging the end of the groove F2 in the driving disc D. At the end of its stroke, the opposite end of its pin enters the groove F1, pressure between the vanes forcing vane B1 to move onwards, the pin E1 moving axially to engage groove F2.
