Abstract

629,008. Rotary pumps. WERNER, W. A. P. Feb. 18, 1947, No. 4727. [Class 110(ii)] The pump comprises two rotors rotating (a) on the axis of a driving shaft 5, (b) on the axis of a stationary core 6, co-acting with inlet and outlet ports 8b, 7c and a two-part working chamber 12. The former rotor is made up of end discs 7, 8 containing the above ports, and connecting web 7b, the shaft 5 being secured to a stub 7a, and the second rotor a sleeve and radial piston 9, the tip of the piston sliding around the inside of the casing 2. Pins 10, slide in slots 11 and cause rotation of the piston about the core 6. The positions of the pins and slots may be reversed.
