624,556. Piston packing. JAMESON, J. L. May 23, 1944, No. 9971. [Class 122(i)] In a gas compressor, a chamber C between the compressor piston 1 and an operating plunger 5 is supplied with sealing medium e.g. oil, through an inlet 9 adapted to be closed by the plunger at the commencement of the power stroke. A piston controlled outlet 11 may also be provided. The plunger and piston are connected by a pin and slot lost motion connection 6, 8. Specification 624,405 is referred to.
