Abstract

618,573. Semi-rotary engines. JACK & HEINTZ PRECISION INDUSTRIES, Inc. Nov. 5, 1946, No. 32870. Convention date, Nov. 15, 1945. [Class 110 (ii)] A hydraulic motor has a vane 11 which oscillates in a chamber 2, provided with a fixed abutment 4, the vane being provided with expansible packing pieces 14, 15. A port 16 leads pressure fluid, admitted through an inlet 21, to beneath the packing 14, an equivalent port releasing fluid from under the packing 15. On reversal of the vane 11, the functions of the ports 16 are also reversed. Pressure fluid is also led to a space 19 under a packing piece 18. All packing pieces may be of rubber. Byepass valves 23 are piyoted in the abutment.
