[Class 122(i) [Also in Group XXIX] A regulating valve includes a cylinder 30 having a fluid inlet 14 and an outlet 34, and a guide 16 for a slidable port-controlling sleeve or piston 44, a fluid-tight joint being maintained between the opposite sides of a flange 52 on the sleeve by a spring-loaded ring 56 which is a close fit in the cylinder.
