[Class 110 (ii)] A compressor of the outwardly-sliding vane type such as described in Specification 563,454 is provided with packing rings 14 in the spring- pressed end discs 12. The vanes 9 run on cam surfaces 18, end clearances allowing some axial movement of the parts 12 and 18.
