Abstract

605,546. Centrifugal fans. LITHERLAND, H. G. Dec. 31, 1945, No. 35183. [Class 110 (i)] A fan comprises two separately driven impellers 11, 10 in one casing without intervening guide blades. The impeller 11, on the inlet side, is substantially within the impeller 10. The impellers are revolubly mounted on a fixed shaft 12 and driven at different speeds, the inlet impeller being the faster, by the same motor 19 through belt gears 22, 20. More than two impellers may be similarly assembled.
