Abstract
603,907. Hydraulic machines. OLAER MARINE. Nov. 5, 1945, No. 29327. Convention date, Jan. 4. [Class 69 (ii)] In a hydraulic device for the synchronous transmission of movement from one shaft 1 to at least one other shaft 1a, a transmitting group of cylinders 3, 4 is operatively connected with the first of these shafts, a receiving group of cylinders 5, 6 is operatively connected with the other shaft and a system of pipes 15, 16, 17, 18 interconnects the respective cylinders of these two groups, each group including at least two double acting cylinders each pivotable about an axis such as 11, 12, 13 or 14, perpendicular to its axis of symmetry and containing a piston 7, 8, 9 or 10, the rod of which is directly pivoted to a crank-pin 2 or 2a, eccentric or other equivalent means mounted on the corresponding shaft. Each pipe includes an exhaust valve such as 22, 23, 24 or 29, and an inlet valve 25, 26, 27 or 28, all the exhaust valves opening into a common conduit 20 leading through a check valve 19 to a spring-loaded reservoir 31 from which a conduit 21 leads to the inlet valves. This arrangement provides a pressure relief and leakage make-up means.
