Abstract
600,922. Electron discharge apparatus. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. Nov. 3, 1944, No. 21627. Convention date, Aug. 12, 1943. [Class 39 (i)] An anode block 10 has two apertures containing two separate grid-cathode assemblies, the grids 35, 36 being supported on one side of the block by members 40, 41, 42 forming a short-circuited Lecher line, and the cathodes 15, 16 being supported by separate coaxial lines 19, 23<1> ; 20, 24<1>, the outer conductors 19, 20 forming a second Lecher line which may be shorted by a bar, not shown. The device operates as a push-pull oscillator. The ends of the envelope are closed by gasket seals, limit stops 12<11>, 51 being provided for preventing the misalignment of the electrodes by over-tightening of the seals. The cathodes are inverted cups closed at the bottom by flat plates and supported on rods 23, 24, each of which forms the support, and one lead, for a heater 17, 18 ; the other heater leads form the inner conductors 23<1>, 24<1> of the coaxial lines.
