Abstract
596,165. Stoves. RADIATION, Ltd., and MULROY, V. H. July 23, 1945, No. 18840. [Class 126] [Also in Group XXV] Oven door fastenings are adjustable by means of a screw device associated' either with the catch or with both the catch and hinge parts. When the door b is closed, a pivoted catch h mounted on the door engages a short pin g carried by a plate i which has a bent over inner end and is secured to an angle iron j which is in turn fixed to the side wall of the oven. The part is formed with slots through which fixing screws k can be inserted into the plate and an adjusting screw m passes through the bent over end of the plate so as to abut against the adjacent end of the angle iron. In the opposite side wall of the oven, the hinge arms c are adjustably secured to a part of the wall c by screws d passing through slots in the arms. In operation, all the screws are slackened and the door is placed upon its seating, the screw m is then turned so as to press the pin against the hook on the catch h and the door against its seating. The fixing screws d and k are then tightened to maintain the parts in their adjusted positions.
