578,063. Stays. LAMBERT, A. May 13, 1944, No. 9219. [Class 65 (i)] A casement stay pivoted to the sash has at its free end a depending screw arranged to engage with a slide H fixed on the frame. The slide has two openings J to receive a nut on the screw, each communicating with a slot L in which the screw can be clamped in any position ; the shorter slot limits the opening of the window to a small amount, and further opening can only be obtained by first closing the window and transferring the screw to the longer slot.
