Abstract

650,602. Letterboxes and the like. AKTIEBOLAGET SANDINS METALLFABRIK. Oct. 21, 1948, No. 27393. Convention date, Nov. 1, 1947. [Class 18] A mail shoot mounted in an inwardly sloping aperture in a door or the like comprises inner and outer closure flaps 2, 3 connected to each other by lateral walls 17 to form a unitary assembly that can be swung about an axis 7 to move the flaps away from the door. The plate or flap 2 is adjustably secured to the walls 17 to accommodate doors of different thicknesses and the flap 3 ,and walls 17 are carried by a frame 12 secured to the door by screws 22. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, states also that the mail shoot may be closed by means of springs. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
