Abstract
590,824. Valve amplifying circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., and STEWART, J. April 20, 1945, No. 9993. [Class 40 (v)] In an audio-frequency amplifier, positive feed-back at the lower frequencies is given by connecting the low potential end of the input resistance R1 to ground via a tapping on a resistance P carrying a proportion of the output current, the effective portion of the resistance being shunted by a condenser C. The effect may be adjusted by moving the tapping point or by adjusting the value of the un-shunted portion of the resistance P. In addition, the shunting capacity may be varied. In a multistage amplifier, more than one input resistance may be connected to the tapping point.
